Russellville, Arkansas Layover

I had to lay over in Russellville, AR for five days because of an RV mechanical problem. I was en route from Birmingham, AL to Eureka Springs, AR ↗ for an MSTA Rally and had hoped to arrive later that day.

While stopped at a truck stop in Russellville trying to figure out the RV engine problem, I called Mark Wilcox at the Wilcox RV Service Center. With his assistance and his service staff's help, we worked through the mechanical problem with Mercedes in Bentonville, AR.

While overnighting at the repair facility, a serious water leak developed underneath and inside an enclosure on the RV. Fortunately, a Wilcox technician was able to repair that problem professionally.

I still had four nights to fill while waiting for my appointment at Mercedes in Bentonville, about 140 miles away, so I set up at a local campground ↗. Mark, the owner of both the RV repair facility and the campground, took a lot of the pressure off of me in this RV problem(s) situation with his knowledge and recommendations.

As a bonus, Mark is also a motorcycle rider and provided guided tours of the surrounding area on Saturday and Sunday. Those rides turned an unexpected layover into a memorable part of the trip.
