RV/Motorcycle Trip to the
MSTA North Georgia Classic

April 24, 25 & 26
- I traveled up to north Georgia
from Florida with my RV and motorcycle to attend the
MSTA (Motorcycle Sport Touring Association)
North Georgia Classic Rally. This would be the first
motorcycle rally that I have attended.
The Mountain Valley Inn
in Dillard, GA was the Rally headquarters and many of the
attendees stayed at that location. I was able to get a
campsite in the
Black Rock Mountain State Park. The state park was only
several miles from the Rally HQs, which made it pretty convenient.
On Friday & Saturday I went on Group
Motorcycle Rides.
These group rides were not too bad since they limited the number
of riders to 6 or 7. Larger groups are a little tough to
manage when you are riding twisty roads thru the mountains.

RV/Motorcycle Trip to the Barber Vintage Motorsport Museum
I departed Black Rock Mountain SP on Monday 4/25 and traveled
over to the Birmingham area. I overnighted at a Cracker
Barrel in Leeds, AL. This Cracker Barrel put me only
several miles from my Barber Museum visit location. This
museum was spectacular and almost a little overwhelming with
over 1600 different motorsport vehicles to view.

what I mean about being overwhelming, but truely a very
interesting experience.

RV/Motorcycle Trip to Oklahoma City, OK with a
5-Day Layover in
Russellville, AR
& the
Cancellation of my Attendence at the Eureka Srrings, AR & Atoka,
OK MSTA Rallies
While things did seem to fall apart on this trip because of the
RV mechanical problems, Many things worked out in this
overall trip.....
+ The MSTA Northern Georgia Classic Rally
was pretty good and I got to ride a few good days on some great
motorcycle roads and met some fun and interesting MSTA members.
+ The Barber Vintage Motorsport Museum was phenomenal.
+ The Russellville layover ended up with me meeting some
more super people, staying/having a good campground experience,
getting a bad water leak professionally repaired and having two
super great days of riding in Arkansas.
+ Plus, even after having
the RV problems in route, I was still able to make it to Oklahoma
City, OK to visit some family and stay a few nights, eat some
great food & ice cream and generally having a great visit.
+
And finally - the trip back to Florida from Oklahoma was
uneventful! :)
