2023 WESTERN TRIP
Dinosaur Museum, Monument Valley & Four Corners
Wyoming · Utah · Arizona · New Mexico · Colorado
My plan for this leg of my 2023 Western Trip was to depart the Wapiti Campground near Cody, Wyoming and drive south through Wyoming and Utah to Blanding, Utah.
I spent the evening at The Dinosaur Museum, a Harvest Host in Blanding. After touring the museum, which was very interesting and reasonably priced, I headed south toward the Four Corners Monument.
While in route I made a swing through Monument Valley. I also wanted to check out the Forrest Gump Point tourist location. From there I continued to the Four Corners Monument.
After leaving the Four Corners area I headed to Cortez, Colorado for fuel and supplies. My campground and base camp for the next few nights was at the McPhee Recreation Complex near Dolores, Colorado, about 15 miles north of Cortez.
