2023 WESTERN TRIP
Ride to Burgess Junction, Wyoming
Wapiti Campground · Cody · Burgess Junction · Bighorn National Forest
My plan for this leg of my 2023 Western Trip was to travel over to the Wapiti (Shoshone National Forest) Campground in Wyoming, located between Cody and the East Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The campground is located right along US-14 & US-16, and I spent four nights there, which gave me three complete days for motorcycle rides.
I had three different motorcycle rides planned from this home-base location. Two routes I definitely wanted to ride were the Chief Joseph Highway and the Beartooth Highway in Montana. I traveled through the town of Cody numerous times. It was a great town with many amenities.
